Join us for local author Mary Greene Interviewing Lisa Caloro, 2020/2021 Poet Laureate of Sullivan County.
Lisa Caloro teaches college and bar-tends in a small Catskill Mountain town. She was the 2020-2021 Poet Laureate of Sullivan County, NY, is the recipient of a 2021-2022 DVAA Individual Artist Fellowship and is a Pushcart Prize nominee. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Painted Bride Quarterly, The Carolina Quarterly, The Packingtown Review, and elsewhere.
About our interviewer:
Mary Greene received her MFA in Poetry from Brooklyn College. She was founder and director of the Upper Delaware Writers Collective, which ran workshops for children and adults for 20 years. Greene’s poetry has appeared national and local journals, and she has given readings and performances in venues all over the region. She has published three books of poetry, “In This Dream” and “A Painting with You Running Through It” and “Permission.” She also published a book of essays, “Women Outside: Conversations about Nature, Art & Spirit.” Until her retirement in 2017, Greene served as grants coordinator at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in Narrowsburg. She was also a long-time writer and editor for The River Reporter newspaper in Narrowsburg. She currently enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and writing poetry.
